Even while growing up, Ginnie Poteet knew that helping people was what she wanted to do. “As a young girl, I originally dreamt of being a doctor. Being of help to others in the community and beyond is in my blood.” As she got older, however, she quickly realized that she was not a fan of actual blood, so she spent over a decade as an elementary school teacher, before discovering her true calling, Real Estate! With her incredibly upbeat personality, Ginnie has helped hundreds of people improve their lives and been the start of many happy family bloodlines.
HOME SWEET HOME
What does Ginnie love about South Florida so much? “It is Home Sweet Home. As a native Floridian born and raised in Palm Beach County, I have had the unique opportunity to watch this area grow, develop, and evolve over the decades.” Ginnie knows the Sunshine State down to the very last street corner. With a specialty in Wellington, West Palm Beach, and the surrounding western communities, she is ready to help you buy, sell, or rent a beautiful, tropical home. Ginnie has top-notch negotiation skills, years of experience out on the field, deep expertise in both the industry and area, and a beaming smile on her face that is sure to also make you grin from ear to ear.
COMMON GROUND
“The most important thing in this job is finding common ground with those who I am working with, whether it be the inspector, the other party, or most importantly, you, my client!” Ginnie has a huge leg up due to her past experience as a teacher. When working with young children, it was imperative to build trust with her students quickly so she could reach them and help them achieve their goals. Relating to them by finding things in common was a good way to achieve this. It also made her incredibly organized and tech savvy. “Grading hundreds of assignments and constantly keeping track of everything on a computer for so long made the transition to Real Estate so much smoother. Teaching and Real Estate are honestly not all that different from each other,” Ginnie explains.
HER “WHY”
Every successful Real Estate Agent has a “why” - as in the reason they get up every morning and work so hard to make their clients happy and close those listings. For Ginnie, her “why” is her family. Her mother and father were incredibly resilient and hard working in their jobs as a hairdresser and a lineman for Florida Power and Light, respectively. Her husband is also very hard-working and always looking to expand his horizons, never opting to settle or stagnate. “He is not just the love of my life, he is my biggest influence and inspiration!” Together with her husband and beautiful children, who proudly play hockey, Ginnie enjoys spending time in the gorgeous outdoors of the Palm Beaches when not busy helping her clients. She also enjoys delving into a good book and working out regularly. “Just as helping others is in my blood, so is both the climate and community of Sunny South Florida. I’ve spent most of my life here, and would not change a single thing if I could go back!” Ginnie wants to share her lifelong home with you too. Come to where the sun shines year round today!
